Happy Birthday Me!!

Yesterday was such a fun day. I spent most of it at Sandy's doing the humanitarian bags with her girls. We had such a lot of fun. Lynn had said that he wanted to take me out for dinner and a show and that he was going to try to leave work at five. Now I'm sure you all know something always hangs him up, but I was going to be home in time anyway. Well, I left Sandy's right at five, and hoped I would beat him home. As it happened he told me he had intended to leave work between four and four-thirty but things came up so he didn't leave till just after five. I got home just a few minutes before him. Kevin and his family called to sing Happy Birthday and suggested maybe just renting a flick since I really hadn't seen anything in the paper that interested me. So that is what we decided to do.Just a side note, if you see a movie you like let us know. We really are out of the loop in such matters. Anyway Lynn wanted to take me somewhere fancy, but I wanted to go to Cracker Barrel. It is a place where Lynn goes sometimes with the guys and said sometime he would have to take me there. Well this was the time. It was absolutely charming. First you walk through a country store then in the restaurant there was a huge fireplace with a fire going and hurricane lamps withreal fire on each table and lots of old pictures and memorabelia all around. The atmosphere was so comfortable and charming, and the food was delicious. We actually got something for a vegetable besides half cooked broccoli. Then of course on our way out we walked around the store. So fun! Anyway, we stayed and talked so long at the table, and enjoyed the store so much we didn't rent a movie. But it was a wonderful nite, and Lynn gave me Beautiful Garnet earrings (my birthstone) with tiny diamonds. I love them--So pretty. Life is good and I am a happy lady!
